What is the difference between HRIS sync and directory sync?
Directory sync (SCIM) connects to Microsoft Entra ID or Google Workspace and keeps names, work emails, and active status up to date. HRIS sync goes further and brings in teams, managers, start dates, locations, and custom fields, so joiners are enrolled into the right training and leavers are deactivated automatically.
Does the 5Mins LMS support single sign-on (SSO)?
Yes. 5Mins supports SSO with SAML and OIDC, so people sign in with the work account they already use. Organizations on Microsoft 365 can also turn on one-click Microsoft sign-in for everyone.
How do the Slack and Microsoft Teams integrations work?
Once a Slack or Microsoft Teams admin approves the 5Mins app, the 5Mins bot sends each person a direct message when a course is assigned and reminds them before it is due. Admins can also send targeted reminders to people who have not started or are overdue.
What happens to learning records when someone leaves?
When a leaver is deactivated through your HR system, directory sync, or a CSV sync, they lose access to 5Mins but their learning history is kept. Learning Records keep every enrollment with its full history, so you stay audit-ready.
